Product Description
Polyethylene glycols are a family of linear polymers and are formed from the addition reaction of ethylene oxide gas with monoethylene glycol or diethylene glycol.
The general formula for polyethylene glycol is H(OCH2CH2)nOH, where n is the average number of ethylene oxide groups. Different grades of polyethylene glycol are characterized by their average molecular weight. For example, PEG400 includes a distribution of polymers with an average molecular weight of 400, which similarly has an approximate average number of ethylene oxide repeating groups of 9.
Polyethylene glycols are available in the molecular range of 200 to 1000.
Depending on the average molecular weight, polyethylene glycols can be liquid or solid under standard conditions. PEG grades 200, 300, 400, 600 are liquid and PEG1000 are white solid.

Polyethylene glycol products have very low toxicity and are safe and suitable for sanitary cleaning products. Use safe safety glasses, PVC gloves and aprons when transporting products. PEG products should be stored in a dry place, covered and away from heat and fire sources. In case of contact with the eyes, immediately wash the eyes with water for 15 minutes. In case of ingestion, consult a doctor.
PEG200 is used as a softener, antistatic agent, scouring agent, sizing agent, dyeing agent and releasing agent for foam, rubber, latex rubber. PEG200 is compatible with most organic solvents and has excellent water-solubility.
PEG300,400 ,600 is used in the pharmaceutical industry (e.g. in ointment, liquids, and tableting) and the cosmetic industry (e.g. creams, lotions, pastes, cosmetic sticks, and soaps) and also used in the textile industry (e.g. cleaning and dyeing aids), in the rubber industry (e.g. lubricants and mold parting agents), and in ceramics (e.g. bonding agents and plasticizers).
The PEGs are neutral, odorless, hygroscopic, no volatile compounds with no irritating properties that are used as water soluble, lubricant and plasticizer in wide range of cosmetics and personal care products such as creams, lotions, sticks, cakes, powders, jellies and other industries.
